180. WESTERN HORNED OWL. _Bubo virginianus pallescens_ (Stone). Common on Vancouver Island and Mainland. Taken at Chilliwhack and Okanagan. (_Brooks_.) 181. ARCTIC HORNED OWL. _Bubo virginianus arcticus_ (Swains.). One speciman taken near Victoria, November, 1896, by A. H. Maynard, and at Chilliwhack by A. C. Brooks. 182.
